Patterra Terms of Service & Privacy Notice
These terms describe how Patterra works, what happens to the charts you save, and who can see them. By signing in you accept them.

1. Who runs Patterra
Patterra is operated by Wojciech Gruszecki ("we", "the operator"). You can reach us at any time at wojtek.gruszecki@gmail.com or through the contact form in the app.
2. The service
Patterra is an online knitting and crochet chart editor. It offers a free plan and a paid Premium plan.
Some features are marked BETA. They may change, break, or be removed without notice.
3. Your account
You sign in with a one-time email code or with Google. One account is meant for one person.
You are responsible for everything done through your account and for keeping access to your email address.
4. Your content
You keep ownership of the charts, colours, symbols and text you create in Patterra. We do not claim any rights to your designs and we do not sell them.
5. Access to your saved work
This is important, so we state it plainly: when you save a chart, its grid, colours, symbols, name, canvas settings and related account metadata are stored on servers operated for Patterra by our hosting and database providers.
The operator can technically access, view and open your saved charts. We do so only where it is needed to: run and maintain the service; help you when you ask for support; investigate abuse, fraud or a security incident; debug faults; and understand how features are used so we can improve them.
We never sell your charts, never publish them, and never share them publicly or with third parties for their own purposes without your consent. Our technical providers (hosting, database, email, payments) process data only on our instructions.
If you do not want your work stored this way, do not save it to your Patterra account — you can export charts and keep them locally instead.
6. Acceptable use
Do not upload or create content that is illegal, infringes someone else's rights, or is abusive. Do not attempt to break, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the service.
We may suspend or remove accounts that break these rules.
7. Payments
Premium is billed through Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; you can cancel at any time and keep Premium until the end of the paid period.
Card details are handled by Stripe — we never see or store them. Statutory consumer withdrawal and refund rights are unaffected.
8. Free plan limits
On the free plan you can keep up to 3 editable saved patterns. Additional or older patterns become read-only until you upgrade or delete some.
9. Data and privacy
We store: your email address, sign-in timestamps and account identifiers; the charts and settings you save; your subscription status; and messages you send us through the contact form.
We use this data to provide the service, to send transactional and authentication emails, to process payments, and to keep the service secure. We do not sell personal data.
Data is kept while your account exists. Deleting your account removes your saved charts and account data; limited records (for example payment and email logs) may be retained where the law requires.
Under the GDPR you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to processing. Write to wojtek.gruszecki@gmail.com and we will respond.
10. Termination
You can delete your account at any time from the account menu. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or the law.
11. Liability
Patterra is provided "as is". We do our best to keep it available and your data safe, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service or error-free output, particularly for BETA features.
To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Keep your own backups of important work by exporting your charts.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top always shows the current version, and material changes will be announced in the app or by email. Continuing to use Patterra after a change means you accept the updated terms.
13. Governing law and contact
